Employee Business Resource Groups

Our Employee Business Resource Groups (EBRGs) are INCLUSIVE. We welcome all employees to participate regardless if their personal affiliation with any particular group. Allies are encouraged and those interested in expanding their knowledge are encouraged to join.

Creates awareness and fosters candid discussions that proudly support the LGBTQ+ community and their allies.

"ABLED provides a network for employees living with disability to support and learn from each other, and to raise awareness of disability in the workplace and community. Our group is inclusive of all employees impacted by disability…those with visible and invisible disabilities, caregivers and allies."

"Together We Stand provides a voice and a safe place for America Water's African American employees. Within this group, they can bring issues faced by membership to hopefully be resolved. Members are not alone in the issues they face. We strive to improve allyship within American Water in support of members of the African American community."

"We take an inclusive approach and encourage all employees to become a member of an EBRG, whether you identify with the EBRG or just want to be included as an ally. Through bi-monthly meetings and member participation, I love seeing the passion from our members every day."

"American Water Proud gives us a forum to help our colleagues feel comfortable being their authentic selves at work, is a resource for AW's LGBTQ+ community, and fosters LGBTQ+ allyship. Personally, I want to meet people where they are, to let them know their voice is important and is heard, American Water Proud gives me a great space to do that."
